About

The Studios

Wyn Works studios are home to a collection of artists, makers and environmental educators. It's a cosy nook, hidden away behind big blue doors, on a residential street in Walthamstow. We work with natural materials; from pottery and alternative firing techniques to metal work, natural dyeing, print making, leather work and green woodworking. We enjoy sharing our skills and space.

Our workshops help people unwind, re-connect and find the joy in creating in a relaxed and friendly environment.

We sometimes host small events like films nights, storytelling, seed swaps, studio open days and wood fired pizza nights..

Our long term goal is to be able to provide an accessible creative space for all.

History

The curious building that houses Wyn Works studios has had many lives. The cobbled entrance is a reminder of it's time as a local dairy and up until recently, it was operating as a mechanics garage.

10 years ago it was converted to art studios, by Spike of Walden Press and Walden studios have been a regular venue on the Walthamstow art trail. Walden Press has now moved to Cardigan and existing studio members have been busy over lockdown converting the main space into a pottery and workshop and learning how to grow edible mushrooms... and so Wyn Works began!

Wyn Works

Our interests and activities at the studios are varied, but all rooted in a love of nature and respect for our environment. Aswell as makers, we are also growers, tree surgeons,

forest school practitioners and environmental educators.
